The modern world is unimaginable without steel. If we look around, we can find innumerable objects manufactured either totally or partially in this metal.
There are many different qualities of steel, but they are all characterised by their toughness, economy, easy transformation and reuse, making it one of most popular the industrial materials.
When steel was introduced in building construction in the 19th century, the systems used were very primitive.
Evolution has been rapid and we now have machinery that makes both manufacturing and installation simple.
COPREMESAL, as a company specialised in this type of work, has the machinery and qualified personnel to do it.

Housing blocks, offices, shopping centres, car parks, discos, industrial buildings, warehouses, fuel stations...

TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT
From the moment the designer conceives the idea, until it is completed there are many hurdles to overcome, both economic and technical, which will try to hinder the manufacturing process.
In COPREMESAL we would like to contribute to solving these difficulties, to do this we place all our technical personnel at your disposal, to collaborate with the people in charge of the work so that all together, we can bring it to a successful conclusion, maintaining the necessary criteria of quality at all times.
Steel gives designers absolute freedom, enabling them to set their imagination free, so possibilities are infinite.

STANDARD AND SPECIAL METAL SECTIONS
We work with a complete range of hot rolled sections of the series commonly used in Spain, European large format series: IPE, HE, HL, HD, HP, UAP... American sections: W..., British sections: UB, UC..., circular, square and rectangular tubes: CHS, RHS... and a wide range of cold rolled open sections.
As well as metal sections that can be found in the European market, we can manufacture made to measure sections of the alveolar type or reinforced as required by your project.

JOINING SYSTEMS
The joints of the different structural elements in the project can either be welded or bolted, as required by the client. We can also study the change from welded to bolted with standard or high-resistance fasteners.
The bolted systems, either using standard or high-resistance fasteners have many advantages over welded joints where, except for assembly, all the processes are industrialised and carried out in the workshop, guaranteeing quality and reducing construction time.

ANTICORROSIVE PROTECTION
The most common protection against corrosion is paint.
Before the paint is applied, surfaces must be properly prepared and degreased, and either brushed, sand blasted or bead blasted, for different finishes.
Many types of primers and finishes can be used, according to the exposure and the environment of the structure; synthetic enamels, polyurethane, epoxy...
Hot galvanising is the most effective system and requires no maintenance, enabling steel to be used in any environment, mountain, marine... It is ideal for bolted structures and if necessary can be painted using the correct primer.

FIRE PROTECTION
Using intumescent paint (in contact with flames it expands impeding the propagation of heat) of the STOFIRE type, results can be obtained up to EF-90 standard, depending on the size of the sections.
We can deliver the structure prepared for painting or even paint it on-site.
For other types of protection (sprayed mortar or panels), the steel can be supplied with the required primer.

QUALITY CONTROL
In conformity with the UNE-EN-ISO 9001 standard, all products manufactured by COPREMESAL are stringently examined before, during and after manufacturing:
-Control of materials reception: steels, welding material, fasteners, paints...
-Manufacturing control: cutting, drilling, welding, cleaning, painting...
-Control of the finished product: dimensions, paint quality, storage and delivery.
This stringent control, as well as the certifications of origin and quality of the steel and the certifications of our personnel, guarantees the quality of our products.
In addition to all the controls carried out by COPREMESAL, at the client’s request, we can carry out any additional control needed.

MANUFACTURING
As well as the above mentioned type of work, we can manufacture and fit singular metal elements, such as bridges, walkways, lighthouses, observatories, communications towers, illumination towers, gateways, masts and all types of supports for signposting, canal locks...
As well as tailor made work, COPREMESAL can manufacture other structures such as cantilever roofs for vehicles parking, construction site huts, gantries and signalling masts...
We also have a wide-ranging experience manufacturing moulds for concrete prefabricated products, such as arches for tunnels, closure plates, parapet walls, imposts, bumpers for traffic islands and tolls, special beams, bridge piles, shuttering slabs...
The possibilities are wide-ranging, the only limit being the designer’s imagination.
